Mentor
As a Girls PREP protégé, you will be assigned to a mentor of Girls PREP to meet with one night a week during the school year. All Mentoring sessions take place in person, via phone or internet. The goal of having a Girls PREP mentor is to build a relationship based on trust and high expectations that will bolster your personal progress towards your academic and life goals. You will be provided a once monthly activity, access to our social media outlets and website and a robust system for one-on-one support. The duties of a protégé include:

• Completing mentor follow-up activities/assignments
• Managing your attitude in all situations that present challenge
• Participating in small/large group meetings
• Assisting with special events as needed
• Attending trips and events as desired

All protégé applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
• Have graduated from college or graduated school (graduate school preferred)
• Be currently enrolled in school with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above (a sponsorship letter must accompany your application if your GPA doesn’t meet this requirement)
• Be willing and able to commit to a minimum of four-five in person activities per school year
